Craft Clubs are fun!

I have missed my craft clubs.  Sitting around a large table with friends who love to craft is just plain fun!  I enjoy listening to the chatter between ladies whose projects start out with the same idea and the same materials, but result in such a variety of styles and skills.  Each lady is genuinely interested in what the others are doing and how.  When one has a little more skill at a technique, she is happy to share her experience and the others are equally happy to learn.  Crafting brings out the best in everyone!  Of course, all crafting goes much better with coffee and chocolate!  We always had great food at the meetings, from pot luck to pizza to pie.  Join a club and learn new techniques, share your skills, enjoy the fellowship.

In the past, I have held Teacher Planning Day Craft Camp.  This was only for the children of school teachers during Planning Days or those extra days the teachers have to go without students just before school starts and right after it rings the final bell of the school year.  We had so much fun.  Watched some short movies while everyone was getting settled in, worked on a craft, had a snack, worked on another craft, ate lunch, watched a movie or went to the pool.  The kids really seemed to enjoy it and I did, too.

What better way for Grandma to spend a couple of hours with her daughter and granddaughters, than to work on a craft project together! Or a mom and her grown daughters....special time for making sweet memories. Join a Mom and Me group today!

There are ways crafters can help the community.  Prayer groups making cards for those on the church prayer list, or making and sending cards to missionaries, letters of praise for those in the newspaper who have done noteworthy deeds, and letters of encouragement for those who need a boost to their spirits.  There are many avenues crafters can support the military.  Working as a group, even if that group is just your own family, can make a good deed even more special....making memories.

Join a class. If you have an interest or target group that is not listed, let me know and we can put a club together for that group. Even if you don't sign up for a craft club---call some friends or family members over, get out the paper and glue and scissors and sit around the kitchen table and make something together!

Happy crafting!
